LaVern A. Asher departed this life on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the age of 81 years and 10 months. He was born in Keene Valley, New York, on February 5, 1940, the son of the late William F. and Maud Bowles Asher. On February 6, 2011, he was united in marriage to Janet Martlock, who preceded him in death on December 29, 2019.
LaVern was self-employed as a videographer and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.
He is survived by his children, Connie Asher Ringler of Hodgenville, Kentucky, Alton Asher and his wife Charlotte of Savannah, Tennessee, and Ginger Roush and her husband Bill of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren, Kayla Asher, Dalton Roush, Madelynn Roush, and Caleb Asher; sisters, Bonna Lucas of Buford, Georgia and LaVon Johnson of Cleveland, Tennessee; and brother, David Asher of Alpharetta, Georgia.
In addition to his parents and his wife, LaVern was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Questionati Stevens and brother, Craig Asher.
Private family services will be held.
