A Graveside Service for Paul Douglas Kistler, age 78, is Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Holcombe officiating.
Doug passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Lineville Health & Rehab. He was born in Greenville, GA and spent most of his life in Clay County. He served in the US Navy and was a Baptist by faith. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting wild turkey and deer. Doug was always busy with hobbies or repairing small engines.
He is survived by his sisters, Jeanette Rollins and Joe of Able and Sara Harris and Roger of Lineville; several nieces and nephews, a host of friends, and other extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents, William Paul Kistler and Louise Bell Kistler and his wife Margaret Milstead Kistler.
Pallbearers will be Shane Harris, Marty Bain, Chuck Milstead, Chad Milstead, and Jeff Hill.
There will be no formal visitation. The family requests no flowers but donations to your local church or favorite charity.
Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in Charge of Arrangements.
