INSPIRATION LANDING – The show must go on! And so it goes at The Slag music venue in Sheffield. Let’s face it… It’s been a little wet the past few weeks around The Shoals. As in all plans, Mother Nature always has her say. But developers Chris Ewing and John Elkington, along with Lori Cox and the rest of the cohort of plumbers, electricians, and site workers… every one of them have a “Never Say Die” state of mind.

And it’s paying off…

The Quad Cities Daily has been out to the venue on a daily basis, watching with great enthusiasm the speed and quality of the work being done there. It’s an amazing bunch of people! And they’ve pulled it off. Despite the inclement weather conditions, Friday and Saturday’s shows are proceeding as planned. Great news!

But, it’s apparent that we have buried the “Lead” here… So here goes.

So… The climate has not been cooperating. And that’s not news to anyone around here. The real news is, given the fact that the venue isn’t totally complete, the concerts this weekend are absolutely, 100 percent FREE! It’s going to be amazing. The stage, sound…

Beautiful new sod on the grounds. Practically unlimited parking… Complete food and beverages for sale. All you concert-goers have to do is bring your lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy something like you’ve never experienced before. And, before you paid-ticket-holders start wondering about the ticket money you’ve already paid… COMPLETE REFUNDS! Pretty good, huh?

When you arrive at THE SLAG, you will hear some of the best music that Memphis and Nashville have to offer. CLICK THIS LINK TO SEE OUR PREVIOUS STORY ON THE BANDS…
