Loreen M. Freund, age 74 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 18, 1946 to the late Frances and Amelia Kucera. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a paralegal. She was passionate about her volunteering and service work with Veterans and Good Shepherd Prayer Shawl Team. In her spare time, Loreen enjoyed fishing, travel, and reading. She cherished her family and friends, and enjoyed telling them they would be “Together Forever.” Loreen is survived by her loving husband twenty-six years, Douglas A. Freund of Winchester; sister, Dorothy Kucera of La Grange Park, Illinois; and many in-laws, family, and friends. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.
