Mable J. TriggMrs. Mable Julie Trigg was born March 11, 1924 in Belvidere, Tennessee. Mable was the third of fifteen children born to the union of Cornelia and Jessie Taylor. Mable had fond memories of her childhood, her face would light up when she spoke of waking up to an apple, orange, and nuts under the Christmas tree. Mable held down the fort while her husband joined the Armed Forces. Mable was a certified geriatric assistant at Methodist Nursing Home of Middle Tennessee in Winchester where she retired after eighteen years of service. Mable enjoyed caring for the elderly. She never really retired as she continued to care for patients by doing private duty as long as her health allowed. It was hard for Mable to sit down, but when she did she enjoyed crocheting, listening to her scanner/radio, gardening, mastering jigsaw puzzles, and rooting for the Atlanta Braves. Mable accepted Christ at an early age. Mable was a mother at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church. Mable gave her tithe, talents, and treasure to the Lord. Mable’s family will miss her biscuits and fried apples the most. We will cherish her wisdom, and mimic her work ethic and loyalty to family and friends. We will miss the birthday cards she sent faithfully. Mable’s quiet and reserved demeanor will resonate with us forever. She looked forward to visits and extended stays from her grandchildren and people in the community. God answered her prayers and allowed her to transition peacefully in her sleep. Mable was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelia and Jessie Taylor; her brothers, Thomas Taylor, Raymond Taylor, Jessie C. Taylor, Bobby Taylor, and Willis Taylor Sr; and her sisters, Easter Jane Gray, Mamie Wilkerson, Sadie F. Taylor, and Carrie B. Sargent; and grandson, Andre Trigg. Mable leaves to cherish her memories her children, Ella Oakley, Vicenna Trigg, and Micheal Trigg; brothers, Rudy Taylor, Hosea (Louise) Taylor, and Willard (Alana) Taylor; sisters, Clara Mae Childress, Betty Kennerly, and Gussie B. Tarrant; grandsons, Loanzer (Dejarnette) Gaiter, Karl (Lia) Trigg, and Kelvin (Tonya) Trigg; granddaughter, Erika Gaiter; great-grandson, Donell Gaiter; great-granddaughters, Diamond Gaiter, Ashley Merrell, Nicole Trigg, Tyanna Trigg, and Sydney Trigg; great-great granddaughters, Khloe McMillan, MaKenley, and Jacques Merrell Jr; and her side-kick, Honey her dog. Special thanks to Robbin Burks and Drena Simmons. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00 am on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
