Willodean Tubbs, age 99 of Gardendale, passed away on June 29, 2021. She was born in Empire, AL on June 22, 1922.
She was a longtime member of Empire Church of God. She also attended Sumiton Church of God.
Graveside service and interment will be Thursday July 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at Empire Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Bruce LeVan will officiate. Visitation for the family from 10-10:30 am on Thursday. There is no public visitation.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Joseph Thomas Ratcliff and Hester Robbins Ratcliff; her husband, Chester Tubbs; daughter, Sherry Stone; son-in-law, Donald Stone; sister, Janie Ratcliff Anderson and brothers, Howard, Orville, Linwood, Elihue, J.T. and Johnny Ratcliff.
Survivors include her son, Rick Tubbs and wife Karon; grandchildren, Shane Tubbs (Susan), Kevin Tubbs (Kendall), Lindsay Stone (Brad), Heath Tubbs and Brooke Stone Winkler (Jeremie); great grandchildren, Maegan, Isaiah and Logan Tubbs, Bayleigh Handley and Sam Rice; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
