Charolette Marie Kelley Daubs, age 66 of Winchester, passed away on

Wednesday, October 7, 2026, after a brave battle with glioblastoma brain cancer,

surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, Charolette was

born on September 3, 1960, to Dorothy Marie Kelley and Robert Wilson

Kelley. She dedicated her life to education, teaching at Decherd Elementary for

37 years and leaving a lasting impact on countless students, teachers, and

colleagues throughout her career. Charolette was a longtime member of

Southside Baptist Church where she spent many years as the treasurer, working

in the kitchen, and directing vacation bible school. Above all else, Charolette

loved her family and was the best mom and nana to her girls. She loved

traveling, especially to Colorado and cruising to different destinations. She and

her husband, Steve, were working on traveling to all of the National Parks. She

also enjoyed reading and listening to gospel and country music, especially music

by George Strait and The Gaithers. Charolette was a mentor to all the educators

and friends around her. Everyone who knew her knew she was a straight

shooter who told you like it was, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She

will be remembered for her intelligence and love she had for her family and

friends. Charolette was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Marie Kelley,

and brother, Anthony Wade Kelley. She is survived by her husband, Steven Earl

Daubs; father, Robert Wilson Kelley; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hayes (Joel) and

Emily Michelle Pickett (Jeremy); sister, Connie Kelley Little (Tim);

granddaughters, Hannah Marie Hayes and Emilia Jo Pickett; and a host of

friends and extended family. The family would like to thank Denisa, Betty, Angie,

Stefani, and Jeri at Amedisys Hospice for the love and care that they have shown

through one of the hardest times of their lives. Visitation will be held on Sunday,

October 11, 2026, from 5:00pm -8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral

Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, 11:00am from

the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Duane Brown,

officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with family and
