Clarice Maria SweetonClarice Maria Foreman Sweeton, age 70 of Decherd, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Chicago, IL on April 2, 1951 to the late Clarence William and Rose Ann Foreman. She was employed for over 20 years as an LPN at Southern Tennessee Regional Health in the Skilled care Unit. Clarice was an active member of the Journey Community Church in Winchester. In her free time she enjoyed working out in her garden, sewing, singing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered as being an extremely patient, compassionate, and loving lady that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, James Clifford “Cliff” Sweeton; siblings, Barbara Kianka, Concetta McGee, Diane Saylor, and Patsy Paschke. She is survived by her children, Laurie Kianka of Cowan, Roseann (Jeff) Rogers of Belvidere, Kelly (Keith) Kennedy of Decherd, Joel (Shelly) Sweeton of Cowan; grandchildren, Jammie (Jonathan) Robertson, Jody Adams, Jackie Adams, Luke Tagarao, Kaitlyn Bailey, Rebecka Bailey, Trinity Sweeton; great-grandchildren, Caden, Landon, Brantley, Ryland, Amelia, Sara, Everleigh; sister, Patricia (Richard) Ward of Addison, IL; brother, Carmen (Patricia) Foreman of Glenview, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thank you to Carol Sweeton, Frances Brazier, Wanda Estes, and everyone at Avalon Hospice. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM – 2:30PM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM with Pastor Marion Pope officiating. Interment will be at Cowan Montgomery cemetery with Anthony Kapalczynski, Landon Goff, Frank Saylor, Luke Tagarao, Caden Robertson, and Keith Kennedy serving as pallbearers.
