Carolyn Powell Haney passed away Tuesday evening June 15, 2021, at her home in Pulaski surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 15, 1933 in Minor Hill, Tennessee and was 88 years old.
Carolyn was a chemist at Rohm and Haas Corporation in Huntsville, AL. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pulaski.
Visitation will be Thursday June 17, 2021 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Friday, June 18, 2021, at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Pulaski, Tennessee with Tony Gomillion officiating.
The burial will follow in Giles Memory Gardens.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Pulaski Building Fund, Giles County Public Library, the Tullahoma Alzheimer’s Association, 201 West Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN. 37388 or the Alabama Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 2883, Florence, AL 35630.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Holland Haney, Jr.and her parents, Albert Taylor Powell and Gladys Richardson Powell Branum.
She is survived by her Son, Dr. Charles Douglas Haney and wife Tammy of Pulaski, Tennessee. Son, Donald Albert Haney and wife Tina of Pulaski, Tennessee. Daughter, Diane Haney Green and husband Clint of Brentwood, Tennessee. Son, Daniel Everett Haney and wife Wendy of Pulaski, Tennessee. Sister, Marilyn Samples and husband Bob of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren
