Edward Barrells, 91, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at his home in Lexington. Mr. Barrells was born January 4, 1930, to the late Kenneth Barrells and Nancy Doyle Barrells. He retired after 50 years as the owner/operator of Lexington Roofing. Mr. Barrells worked hard his entire life, but he also enjoyed being on the lake and fishing. He was a Charter Member of the Moose Lodge, and was very kind and helpful to people.
Mr. Barrells is survived by two daughters, Sara Hayes and Patricia Ubelhor; a step-daughter, Lisa Brown (Shane); a grandson, Danny Hayes; a great grandchild, Kristin Hayes (Jordan Garner); a great-great grandchild, Layla Jane Garner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: James Barrells, Amos Barrells, and Ralph Barrells; and three sisters: Lucile Kelly, Mary Sue Stubblefield, and Peggy Barrells.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 15, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
