Thomas “Tommy” Earl Ford, age 52 of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Tommy was born on May 17, 1968 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late Elmer Earl Ford and Marie Ellen Cathryn Munns Ford. Thomas retired after many years of service with CST in Winchester, TN. It delighted Tommy to see his family enjoying his mustang, which was his dream car. He knew every word to every ACDC song and loved getting lost on the back roads. He enjoyed watching football, drag racing, Gold Rush, and Judge Judy (whom he watched every day). Tommy will be remembered by his family as a head strong and hardworking family man who provided for his family. He never once let his beloved family go without and his children were his whole world. Tommy will be truly missed and loved forever, as he always said, “I love you always and until we meet again.” In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Ford. Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Tressa Ford of Lynchburg; children, Erica, Abbie and Dekota Ford all of Lynchburg; brother, Michael (Tammy) Ford of Altoona, AL; sisters, Monique (Wayne) Bones and Melissa Ford both of Lincoln, AL., brother and sisters-in-law, Charles “Keith” (Jeanetta “Netta”) Shields and Michelle Shields; several nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Peanut, Tex, Ketty, and Knox. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Monday, March 8, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)967-2222
