Gerald A. CuracolaGerald A. Cucarola, 70, of Madison, AL passed away January 12, 2021 at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, AL.

Mr. Cucarola graduated from Goodland High School in Goodland, KS and Kansas State University. His career initially included a short time in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany. Gerald later continued his government service for more than nine years as an evaluator/auditor with the U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) based in Atlanta, GA. After leaving GAO, Mr. Cucarola transferred to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL, where he completed his outstanding government career by serving in a variety of financial management positions. After retiring from NASA, Gerald worked in accounting and program management positions with Booz Allen Hamilton, MacAulay-Brown, Inc., Alion, and the Tuba Group.

A celebration of life service to honor Mr. Cucarola will be held in Huntsville, AL in the summer of 2021. A memorial graveside service to honor him will also be held in the summer in Sterling, CO where his parents are buried.

Mr. Cucarola is survived by one son, Ty Cucarola of West Hollywood, CA; four brothers, Bob Cucarola (Donna) of Loveland, CO, Gary Cucarola (Carolyn) of Arvada, CO, Kenny Cucarola (Carol) of Morga, CA, and Troy Cucarola of Sterling, CO; and several nieces and nephews. Gerald Cucarola was preceded in death by his father, Robert Anthony Cucarola, and mother, Anna Eva Artzer Cucarola in Sterling, CO.
