Fred Eugene Brown, age 95 of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in McMinnville on June 7, 1925 to the late Edgar and Jesse (Pepper) Brown. Before his retirement in June of 1990, he had been employed for forty-three years at H.G. Hill Grocers. Fred was a dedicated member of Northside Church of Christ in Fayetteville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-two years, Gradie Dale Brown; daughter, Ruthie E. Mullins; and stepdaughter, Louis Dale Thaxton. Fred is survived by his sister, Doris Freeman of Texas; son-in-law, Jerry W. Mullins; grandchildren, Jeff (Tosha) Mullins of Huntsville, Alabama, and Chad (Angie) Mullins of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Will, Carlie, and Claire Mullins, Riley Malone, Bailey, Cohen, and Greyson Mullins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Mullins Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
