Marie Lavigne Rouse Sisco Marie Lavigne Rouse Sisco, 85, of Huntsville passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 from Covid-19.

Marie was born in Albany, Louisiana. She moved to Huntsville in the early 1960s, where she raised her family and worked at UAH and various medical offices.

She is survived by her three children, Frank Rouse, Jr. (Betsy) of Huntsville, Sandra Watson of Birmingham, and Karen Rouse of Huntsville; along with her three sisters, Georgia Ann Mitchell of Shreveport, Gwen Comish of Baton Rouge, and Edith Bonds of Atlanta. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Christopher Watson (Mary Elizabeth) of Washington, DC, Kelly Marie Watson of Birmingham, Taylor Rouse (Winslow) of Huntsville, and Alexa Rouse of Glastonbury, CT. She also had many nieces and nephews.

Marie was predeceased by her mother, Minnie Arrington, father, Morris Lavigne, brothers, Morris Lavigne Jr. and Valmond Lavigne, special buddy, Elmer Mitchell, and son-in-law, Richard Watson.

Marie had a great love for nature and animals and a green thumb with flowers. She was a naturally talented pianist who played beautifully by ear. She enjoyed creative writing and cooking, spreading joy with recipes that she lovingly shared with family. Marie greatly enjoyed travelling the country with Georgia Ann and Elmer and loved visiting with her other sisters and family in Louisiana and Arizona.

Marie lived with strength and determination in the face of physical challenges. She was fiercely loyal and protective of family, loving her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She was always there to listen and provided a safe haven where everyone could be themselves without judgement. She encouraged all to live in the moment and generously shared what she had without expectation. Her family will remember the many good times.
