Barva Lee Allen  It is with great sadness that the family of Barva Humber Allen announce her passing after a brief battle with complications of Covid 19 on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the age of 92.

Barva will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kent (Winki), Michael (Mary Jane), Terri Vinson, Bridgett Kurtz (Rick); grandchildren, Wendy Gressett (Steve), Patrick Allen (Stacy), Wesley Vinson (Sarah), Matthew Wood, Amelia Allen, Daniel Allen; six great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Barva was predeceased by her husband, James “Jack” Allen; her parents, Jason Malt Humber and Gracie Parsons Humber; siblings, Jason Humber, David Humber, Lee Humber, Eugene Humber, June Jackson, Wayne Humber, and Gail Humber.

Barva worked for several years as a Special Education Aide with the Jefferson County Alabama School District. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, great sense of humor, and her talents in cooking, gardening, sewing and other arts and crafts.

A small graveside service will be held 2 PM Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Good Hope Cemetery. A public memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Flowers may be sent to Bell Funeral Home, Sumiton, AL, or donations in her name may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church, 7508 River Road, Dora, AL 35062.
