Boyett Judson "BJ" Hennington, Jr.  Boyett Judson Hennington Jr. “BJ” passed away on October 28 at the age of 99. BJ was born in Seminary Hill, Texas, and attended the University of Oklahoma. BJ served in the Army in North Africa during World War II. After his military career, he moved to Huntsville, Alabama and worked for the Department of Defense as a computer administration specialist until his retirement.

A devout Catholic, BJ and his wife, Mary Louise Saffer Hennington, were founding families of the Holy Spirit Catholic church. BJ was an Obiate of the St. Benedict of Monte Cassino Monastery.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou Hennington and sister, Isla Mae Phillips. Survivors include his son, Jud Hennington and daughter-in-law, Teri Hennington; grandson, Jay Hennington and wife, M. Kathryn; two granddaughters, Kat Hennington and Libby Hennington; and a great-grandson, Boyett Judson Hennington V “Quin”.

He was a good man who put his God, his Church, his country, and his family above all else.

A family private graveside service was held at Huntsville Memory Gardens on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 4.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, 3222 County Road 548, Hanceville, AL 35077.
