Mary Ruth Pulliam "Trudie" Nease Mary Ruth Pulliam “Trudie” Nease, 86, a long-time resident of Huntsville, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in the presence of family after a short illness. Born in Savannah, GA, Trudie graduated from Druid Hills High School in Decatur, GA. Always an avid Georgia Bulldog, she graduated from the University of Georgia where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and met her loving husband Ed. Having started their family in Savannah in the early years of marriage, they later moved to Atlanta where the family lived until moving to Huntsville in 1975.

Trudie was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for many years. She dutifully served for over 20 years as a volunteer at the Huntsville Police Department’s South Precinct, where she was much loved and a true friend to all who she worked with there, especially close friend Lisa Hamilton and her husband Jeff.

Trudie is survived by her daughters, Beth Keller and husband Jim, Huntsville, and Kate Nease, Holly Springs, GA; grandchildren, Kathryn Keller Keating and Kevin Keating, Fort Worth, TX, and Hannah Keller Carmack and Dustin Carmack, Washington, DC. Trudie was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Edward Laban Nease, her parents, Rufus Dow and Ruth Brooks Pulliam, and brother, Rufus Dow “Buck” Pulliam, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, November 6th, in the narthex of Trinity United Methodist Church. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 am and will be officiated by Reverend Mac Buttram. Seating is limited to 200, and facial coverings are required. A brief graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery will follow.
