Thurston Shannon Dison, 89 of Elkmont, passed away on Friday, October 30th, 2020, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Dison was born on December 11th, 1930, to Roscoe Dison and Susie Faust Dison.
Funeral services for Mr. Dison will be held on Wednesday, November 4th, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sardis Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Dison is survived by his wife, Vema Dison; sons Anthony Dison, Mark Dison (Cynthia), and Gregg Dison (Debbie); daughter-in-law Kay Dison; grandchildren Braden Dison (Amanda), Jared Dison (Leo), Brigett Dison Webster (Wesley), Shannon Dison, Brian Ray (Anjillyn), Stacy Dison Moss (Heath), and Shari Dison Moore (Greg); and great-grandchildren Alex Moss, Annalise Moss, Ellie Jo Moss, Aria Dison, Hadley Webster, Ethan Dale Ray, and Joseph Ray.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers Clifton Dison, Hershall Dison, Cecil Dison, and George Dison; and sisters Bessie Anderson, Ann Watkins, Dorothy Hargrove, and Ruth Adams.
