Doris M. Knapper, age 93 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born on March 17, 1927 to the late Daniel and Hazel Pearl (Limbaugh) Webb. Before her retirement, Doris had been employed by Redstone Arsenal and General Electric as a computer programmer. She was a member of Cowan First Baptist Church and was an avid golfer. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew W. “Bill” Knapper; son, Richard Webb Knapper; brother, Walter Webb; and sister, Betty June Walker. She is survived by her loving daughter, Suzanne Knapper (Eddie) Custer of Winchester; grandchildren, Jennifer Flatt, Anna Beth Flatt, James Andrew (Lauren) Flatt, Amanda Knapper (Anthony) Odom, and Daniel Knapper; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Bob (Beverly) Webb. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. L.Z. Johnson officiating.
