Beatrice Davis, age 95 of Huntland, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence. A native of Franklin County, she was born on January 2, 1925 to the late Jessie and Janie (Nayom) Taylor. Before her retirement, Beatrice was employed at Lanier Clothing. She enjoyed gardening, spending time outside, working crossword puzzles, and in her younger years sewing. Beatrice was an excellent cook and a strong, honest woman, as well as a dedicated Christian who read her Bible faithfully. A devoted mother, she raised seven children. In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Davis; children, infant son, Clayta Davis, Linda Davis Hill, Barbara Davis Andrews, and Edith Davis Hall; siblings, Robert Taylor, Roberta Taylor Bates, Mary Taylor Speakman, and Gordon Taylor; and grandson, Jeff Nelson. She is survived by her loving children, Dianne Moon of Huntland, Yvonne (Steve) Davis of Elora, and Emma Jean Hopkins of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Angie, Pam, Denise, Amy, Tammy, Jimmy, Matt, Kim, Rusty, Stevie, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Jason; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; twenty-six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Judy) Taylor of Hartselle; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 20, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Stanley McKin officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
