Mrs. Virginia Ellen Stanford, age 75 of Athens, AL passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Stanford was born on June 11, 1945 in Lawrenceburg, TN to J.B. Parsons and Virginia Hill Parsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sonny Parsons, Mack Parsons, and Chuck Parsons and her sister, Jean Scharrer.
Mrs. Stanford is survived by her husband, Douglas Stanford; daughter, Jenny Letson (Tim); son, Chris Stanford (Leisl); grandchildren, Travis Letson, Mari Jen Ferrell (Lee), Lars Stanford; great grandchild, Rylee Ferrell; sister, Joanola Pullum; brother, Jack Parsons and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Mrs. Stanford will be from 1:00-2:45 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Alton Downs officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Travis Letson, Tory Siniard, Lee Ferrell, Derryl Clem, Neal Flaherty and Lars Stanford.
