James Edward Bush, Sr., age 82, of Corner, passed away, June 15, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents James Sampson and Fannie Bush; sister, Faye Nell Bridgeman; and his brother, Terry Wayne Bush. James is survived by his wife, Verta Lee Bush; children, Diane Kilgore (Keith), Jimmy Bush (Lori), Mike Bush (Melissa), Cindy Ledbetter (Howard), Julie Bush and Danny Bush (Sheila); 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Coy Bush (Sue), Jerry Bush, Bill Bush (Gloria), Josephine Boshell (Cecil), and Jean Cochran (Ronnie) as well as a host of nieces and nephews. James met the love of his life Lee Bush and after knowing her for three weeks they married and lived happily for 63 years. He was a member of International Iron Workers Local 92. James served our great Country in the Air Force. He loved sports especially Alabama football. James coached community baseball for 17 years. He also had a love for gardening and sharing the vegetables he grew with family and friends. Services will be held Friday, June 19, 2020 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation from 12:00-2:00 pm. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
