James Robert (Rob) Nethery, age 75, of Sulligent, AL passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm from the Love Joy Freewill Baptist Church, Beaverton, AL with burial to follow in the Love Joy Cemetery. Bro. Mitch Nethery to officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm.

Rob was born on August 24, 1944 in Bloomingdale, Michigan to the late Vance Olen Nethery and Ruby Mae Humphries. He attended Sulligent Schools and the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall Okolona, MS. Rob was a hard worker for many years in the furniture industry as a sewing machine repairman. Rob enjoyed fishing. He was also an avid guitar player, who enjoyed spending time with his family just hanging out singing and playing music.
