Edwin Peebles Wilson Edwin Peebles Wilson, 73, of Huntsville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, after a courageous battle with Corticobasal Degeneration, a rare, progressive neurological dementia disorder. Born and raised in Huntsville, Edwin was well-known in the community: he was a gentle, kind soul with a friendly demeanor and a tender-hearted spirit. His passions were numerous and included being a lifelong lover of music and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and he possessed a deep love for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a virtuosic guitarist and played numerous stringed instruments at a highly-gifted skill level, starting in childhood and throughout the rest of life. His passion and curiosity for music was infectious to others and forged many a friendship. A lifelong resident of Alabama – save for his years of military service at Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana as a Captain in the United States Air Force, and in Louisiana while studying at the Graduate School of Banking at LSU – Edwin had many friends and family in the Tennessee Valley. He was a graduate of Huntsville High School, class of ‘65, and the University of Alabama, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and Air Force ROTC. Professionally, he spent his entire career as a banker at First Alabama Bank (now Regions Bank), starting as a trainee in 1973 and advancing to the position of Vice President before retirement. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife Karen and playing music with friends from different cultures across the globe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Beaty Wilson and Elizabeth Stuart Peebles Wilson, whom he adored.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen Eve Falkowski; sons, Edwin Jr. and Samuel; stepchildren, Jessica and Solomon; and siblings Frank (Nancy), Michael and Patricia (Chuck George), who will all miss him dearly.
