James J. (Jimmy) McCrary Jr. age 78 of Athens died Tuesday, March 30, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. McCrary was born December 17, 1941 in Jackson County, Alabama. He was a member of Tanner 1st Baptist Church. Retired from General Motors, a veteran of the Alabama National Guard. Mr. McCrary was a longtime volunteer football coach at Tanner.
He is survived by his brothers, Paul W. McCrary of Tanner, and Wayne McCrary of Athens. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by, Parents, James and Burma McCrary. Brothers, Johnny McCrary and Bruce McCrary. Sister, Brenda Sue McCrary.
