Billy  Jack ManningBilly Jack Manning, age 92, of Sumiton, passed away February 13, 2020. He was born in St Clair County, but lived over 75 years in Walker County. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and also served as a chauffer for the Secretary of State at the Geneva Convention. Billy was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed watching westerns in his free time. Billy also enjoyed the fellowship he shared with a special group of friends at the Sumiton Community Center. He loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Billy is predeceased by his wife, Beulah Mae Manning; father, Homer Manning; mother, Elise Harteshorn and his brothers, Hubert Manning, James Manning and Garvin L. Manning. He is survived by his children, William Thomas (Linda Kay) Manning, Cecellia Darlene Manning Webb and Frankie Lee (Alice) Manning as well as a host of beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home, Dora. Visitation, Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 1pm. Military honors will be provided at the chapel service with burial following at McCormack Cemetery, Dora. Bro. Andy Frazier officiating.
