Earl Frank Walker Jr. Earl Frank Walker, Jr., age 84 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Monday, November 4, 2019. He was born June 21, 1935 in Russellville, Alabama. He graduated from Haleyville High School in the Class of 1953. He then attended and played football for Castle Heights Military Academy and the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.

He was a member, deacon, and trustee at First Baptist Church of Haleyville. He served in the Haleyville National Guard. He was a member of Haleyville Lions Club, Haleyville Masonic Lodge #464, Gideons International, Winston County Sports Hall of Fame and the Alabama Bankers Association. He worked at Traders and Farmers Bank for 65 years. He served as President and Chairman of the Board. He retired as Vice Chairman of the Board on December 31, 2018.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Haleyville. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Bro. Nathan Carroll and Dr. Richard Trader officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife Rena Carol Teague Walker; children, Leisa Ann Walker (Rick) McCreless, Missy Leigh Walker (Bret) Whiteside; William Earl (Nelda) Walker; grandchildren, Rickey James (Katrina) McCreless, Jr., Mac Lee (Crystal) McCreless, Frank Scott (Mary) McCreless; William David (Sarah) Whiteside, Andrew Walker (Summer) Whiteside, and Nancy Caroline Walker; and great grandchildren, Britton McCreless, Jack McCreless, Italie McCreless, Baker McCreless, Ashlyn McCreless, Ally Williams, Slade Whiteside, Blakeley Whiteside, Vera Whiteside and Kyle Whiteside.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Frank Walker, Sr. and Bernice Hilton Walker; maternal grandparents, James Marion and Fannie Celestia Scogin Hilton; paternal grandparents, William Anderson and Margaret Elizabeth Ezell Walker; sister, Frances Walker Elliott.

Frank enjoyed reading, traveling, opera and attending ballgames. He had traveled to all 50 states and many foreign countries. His favorite bible verse was Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
