Azzie Lee Martin, 91, died Monday, June 24, 2019 at North Al. Medical Center, Florence, AL. She was born in Mississippi and was a factory worker for fifty years.

Services will be Saturday, June 29, 12 p.m. at the former Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Johnny Smith and Bro. Mark Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Burgess Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are one daughter – Wanda Martin, Red Bay, AL; five grandchildren – Anthony Hackman, Jamie Martin, Nathan Martin, Jessica Walker and Joy Phillips; thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Martin, Sr., two sons, James A. Martin, Jr. and Walter Martin, one daughter, Janie Phillips, one infant daughter, one grandson, Eric Martin and her parents, William and Mary Gillis Humphrey.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Martin, Anthony Hackman, Jamie Martin, Michael Cannon, Derrick Anderson and Daniel Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Tabbs and Cornelius Walker.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 11-12 p.m. at the former Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
