Sarah Stewart, age 75, went home to be with the Lord June 12, 2019. She is preceded in death by parents Vito and Trudy Allen; brother, Ray Winters; sister, Josephine Gwin and her brother-in-law, Jabo Gwin. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joe Stewart; sons; Joel (Karman) Stewart, Steven (Shawna) Stewart, Randy (Tina) Stewart; brothers and sisters, Joe (Sarah) Allen, Mary Ann Mitchell, David Winters, Shelia Winters, Carolyn Summers, Petey Allen; grandchildren, Erin (Aaron) Tuttle, Emily Stewart, Ethan Stewart, Chase Stewart, Gabe Stewart, Sarah Stewart, Isaiah Stewart, Ashlyn Myers and Ryan Myers and a host of nieces and nephews. Sarah was a loving wife and mother. She was the backbone of her family. She was strong but caring. Sarah will be missed by all that were blessed to know her. The family would like to extend thanks to the entire staff of Walker Baptist Medical Center for the exceptional care shown to Sarah and to the staff of New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home for their assistance with funeral services. Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am with burial following at West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery.
