Jonne Blythe WittJonne Blythe Witt went home to Jesus on June 9, 2019 at age 82, with her family by her side, in Huntsville, Alabama. Jonne was born to Johnny and Frieda Renner in 1936 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She had two great loves in her life: the late Col. Ardven Blythe and Wayne Witt. She married Ard a few short weeks after meeting him in 1956. They raised four children together until his death in 1985: James Blythe (Belinda), Marjory Knothe (Larry), Dyana Bucca (Michael), and Cheryl Weller. Jonne and Ard moved to many cities during his career in the Air Force but called Huntsville “home” for the last 45 years. She met her second husband, Wayne, in Jacksonville, Florida in 1989 and they married in June of 1994. At that time, she became a beloved stepmother to Rhea Campbell (Allan), John Witt, and Dana Dennis (Mike). Jonne and Wayne enjoyed traveling, dancing, gardening, and relishing in retirement together.

Mom will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and selfless nature. She had a natural ability to put a smile on the face of anyone she talked to and was always eager to help others before helping herself. Even up until her death, she took full-time care of her husband Wayne throughout his difficult journey with dementia. She loved playing Scrabble, baking chocolate chip cookies, tackling jigsaw puzzles, and could always be found with her Freecell game close by.

She leaves behind husband, Wayne Whitt; four children; three step children; seven grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nine step great grandchildren. We were blessed to have her neverending love and support no matter how many miles separated us and we will miss her more than words can capture.

Visitation will take place at 2pm on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, 2320 Bob Wallace Ave, Huntsville, AL 35805, where all are welcome to attend and are encouraged to share their memories of Jonne. Her funeral service will begin at 3pm in the chapel at Laughlin, with burial immediately following at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Family Care.
