Dalton Wayne Smith – Obituary

Mr. Smith was a native of Lauderdale County and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the Lauderdale County Road Department with 30 years of service and was of the Pentecostal faith. He had a passion for working on cars and loved helping others; he also enjoyed gardening. Dalton was a great husband, father, and grandfather with an endless love for his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Vera Smith; and stepfather, Haven Smith.

Dalton is survived by his wife, Kathy Sharp Smith; son, Mardie Wayne Smith (Michelle); daughter, Amanda Smith Richey; sisters, Carolyn McFall (Jerry), Marsha Scott (Paul); grandchildren, Cassidy Richey, Codie, Alisha, Brett, Dallas, and Easton Smith, of Florence.

Pallbearers will be Brett Smith, Codie Smith, Joshua Witt, Randle White, Steve Butler, Michael Belcher, and Bennie Belcher.
