Bobby Gene Scott, 83, Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018, and his wife, Virginia May Scott, 82, also of Phil Campbell, passed on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Bobby Gene (BG) and Virginia would tell you that their work here is done. They received their call for an appointment from which they will not be returning—the Lord called Bobby Gene and Virginia home two days apart. Married for 66 years, both served the Lord and were founding members of Temple Baptist Church. They lived their lives for the Lord and for their family. Bobby Gene was a deacon of Temple Baptist. Both loved Alabama football and old Oldsmobiles.

Visitation with family and friends will be at Temple Baptist Church Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. with Services beginning at 2:00 P.M. with Jerry Wayne Lawler and Daryl Butts officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Phil Campbell.

Everyone is invited to wear your Alabama apparel in their honor and to drive your old cars if you have one. These two people had a grateful, giving heart and will be missed by all that knew them. Grief is the price we all pay for love.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
