Dr. Everett Cole ‘Mose’ Mosley
September 25, 1931 – December 13, 2018
Mose would have written, “Mose passed, lifelong treasures (junk) for sale,” but we felt he deserved a little more.
Born and raised in Lauderdale, MS, he attended Vanderbilt University and George Washington University Medical School. He was a Medical Officer in the Army, which included a tour in Vietnam. With his family, he settled in Huntsville in 1969 practicing as an Anesthesiologist for nearly 25 years.
He believed in a life of service: to God through mission trips around the world, and to his community through support of organizations such as Kiwanis, Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Huntsville Botanical Gardens and Lincoln Village.
Some of his many interests included hunting, gardening, dining (both fine and not so fine) and time with friends and family…. sharing his opinions which he believed everyone deserved to hear.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Devvy. Survivors include his children, David Mosley (Anne) and Elizabeth Mosley.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday December 19 at Maple Hill Cemetery, McClung entrance. A reception will follow from 11:30 to 1:30 at Gideon Blackburn House, 402 Lincoln Street SE.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Huntsville Botanical Garden or the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
