John ‘Jack’ Stetler Patterson was born on October 20, 1986, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and passed away on November 13, 2018. He was the son of Dr. Vance and Mrs. Kimberly Stetler Patterson. He was the husband of Natalie Nichols Patterson, and they enjoyed nineteen wonderful months of marriage.
Jack attended the University of Alabama and received a B.S.B.A. in Operations Management with high honors. He was an extremely hard-working man who had been very successful as a Contracting Officer with the Department of Defense on Redstone Arsenal. He was currently in the process of obtaining his M.S. in Systems Engineering and Program Management from the Naval Post Graduate School.
Jack was a loyal fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and an avid member of the Red Elephant Club and University of Alabama Alumni Association. He was passionate about sports and loved to attend games and events. He also enjoyed traveling and was blessed to have experienced wonderful travels with family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind soul, loving and caring heart, amazing ability to plan and organize, warm smile, and great sense of humor.
Jack is survived by his wife, Natalie Nichols Patterson of Huntsville, AL; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Vance and Kimberly Patterson of Huntsville, AL; his sisters, Margaret Stewart Patterson of New Orleans, LA, and Michelle Patterson Adkins of Purcellville, VA; his brother, Michael Gene Patterson of Houston, TX; and his in-laws, Dr. and Mrs. James and Carmen Nichols of Lafayette, LA. He also leaves behind an incredible group of friends from his fraternity of Pi Kappa Phi, who were brothers to him and whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Huntsville First United Methodist Church, 120 Greene Street SE, Huntsville, AL, 35801. A memorial service will immediately follow at the church with Dr. Glenn Conner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Huntsville First United Methodist Church, the National Autism Association, or the University of Alabama.
