Bettie Kathleen Fisher, age 83 of Hunstville, AL passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Bettie was born December 8th, 1934 to Lillie and John Newby. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Bettie was a loving wife of 65 years, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She brought joy to those around her and will be truly missed.
Bettie is preceded in death by her parents Lillie and John Newby, sister in law Loraine Newby, and son in law Phillip Carney.
Her hugs and bright smile will be missed by her husband Maurice Fisher; her children Amy Carney and Mike Fisher (Ruth Ann); her grandchildren Phil Carney (Megan), Ali Petit (Joseph), Katie Fisher, Jennifer Wolfe (Josh), and DJ Fisher; her great grandchildren Keaton Carney, Kyndle Carney, and Camden Petit; her brothers George Newby and Doyle Newby; her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special family LaRue, Peggy, Lewis, and Jerry.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3rd from 12:00 – 2:00 at Berryhill funeral home, followed by at 2:00 p.m. service. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
