Lester C. Herring, 80, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away on July 20, 2018, at Russellville Hospital. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Herring had lived most of his life in the area and was a member of Russellville Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 43 years of service.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama. Funeral services will be Monday, July 23, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Daniel Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Herring and daughter, Audrey Herring; and his brother, Harold Herring of Tuscumbia; uncle, Menco and wife Mildred Jackson. Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence L. and Clara Jackson Herring.
