Funeral for Sam Akers, 59 of Decatur will be Wednesday May 30, 2018 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Holmes officiating with burial in the Oden Ridge Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home Directing. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. Akers was born August 16, 1958 in Kentucky to Estill Akers and Connie Vohcile Montgomery Akers. Mr. Akers is preceded in death by his parents and Brother, Estil Akers He passed away Friday May 25, 2018 in Russellville Medical Center. He was a Member of the Decatur Baptist Church where he was Baptized in 2017. He loved spending time with his Grandkids. He loved to Jump off rock quarries and have late movie nights with lots of treats. He would go out of his way for anyone needing anything.
