Charlie Catlin – Obituary

Charlie Catlin, age 60, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday evening, May 24, 2018 at his residence.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 3-6PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 26, 1957 in Highland, Illinois, Charlie was the son of the late Harvey Neal Catlin and the late Eva Mae Boyd Catlin. He traveled in his carpentry career with the Carpenters Local Union 223 and Continental Construction. He enjoyed camping and working with his rose bushes. When he and his wife were dating, armloads of roses was the norm. Charlie was a loving man who took care of all the things. He loved cooking for his family and doing whatever was needed to be done for them. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered gracefully.

He is survived by his wife: Jennifer Catlin of Columbia; son: Mitchell Catlin of Columbia; siblings: Connie, Danny, David, Tammy, and Mark all of Illinois; grandchildren: Levi, Amelia Erin Dugan, and Daphne Louise Dugan; step son: Zach Turner of Nashville; and step daughter: Brittany Nicole (Craig) Dugan of Nashville.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Ryan Catlin; and two brothers.

I had the privilege of working with Charlie at Continental, you described him just as I remember him . He spoke often and fondly of his wife and family , I know he will be missed .
