Funeral service for Mr. Chris “Monkey” Mitchell, age 43, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Whitney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, he is the son of Dwight Mitchell and the late Francine Hobbs Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell worked for Goodman and Solaverde and was a member of the Church of God. Mr. Mitchell passed away May 22, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Survivors in addition to his father include, his sister, Cathy Mitchell of Fayetteville; children, Crystal Crabtree of Shelbyville, Beth (Quin Ford) Crabtree of Shelbyville, Meagan Knois of Pulaski, and Lelia Knois of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Andrew Bates, Micah Bryson, Navaeh Ford, Michael (MJ) Knois, Zailen Thompson, William Knois, and Isiah Whitaker; and special nephew, Austin Honey. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his Mother in 2015.
Visitation with the family will be Friday May 26, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Chris Mitchell.
