Mrs. Lucy Lorene Coker, age 88, of Arab, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Coker was born on October 25, 1929 in Moulton, Al. to E. F. Hood & Agnes Blankenship Hood. She married Tolbert H. “Sam” Coker on March 1, 1952. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking & loved her family and friends.
She is a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Coker is survived by her husband of 66 years, Sam Coker; sons and daughter-in-laws, Randy & Diane Coker, Dwain “Bo” & Cindy Coker; daughters, Diedra Coker Leak, Dana Coker Taylor; grandchildren, Aneitra & Greg Hindes, Janna & Riley Lumpkin, Clay Leak, Adria Leak, Wesley Coker; great grandchildren, Taylor Hinds, Trevor Hinds, Raisley Lumpkin, Reagan Lumpkin, Daylan Coker, Trendon Coker; sister, Betty Appleton. Preceded in death by her parents, Emit F. Hood & Agnes Blankenship Hood; grandchild, Leah Coker.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
