Mr. Bobby Gordon Byrd, 84, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away May 17, 2018 at Terrace Manor Nursing Home, Russellville. A native of Franklin County, he had lived in the area all of his life and was retired from Wise Alloys/Reynolds Metals as aluminum worker and operator after 36 plus years of service. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, Russellville.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will follow at the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 P.M. with Johnny Hood and Keith Prince officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville.
Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife, Rose Kathryn Byrd; son, Randall Matthew Byrd and his wife, Jennifer Leigh, all of Russellville; and grandchildren, Shelton Matthew Byrd and Kayla Leigh-Ann Byrd; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Neal Jackson and Margaret King Byrd; and sisters, Lucille Odom and Wealthia Byrd.
The family expresses appreciation to his personal physician and to the staffs of Shoals Hospital and Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
