Clyde Edward Marks – Obituary

Clyde Edward Marks, 82, of Florence, died on April 25, 2018 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Rehab.  He enjoyed life to the fullest.  He was a member of Weeden Heights Baptist Church, Boilemakers Local 455, and an avid Alabama football fan.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gary Lovett and Rev. Charlie Highfield officiating. A private family burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy H. Marks and Thelma Richey Marks; brothers, Harold Marks and Douglas Marks.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Warren Marks; son, Terry Wayne Marks; daughters, Pam Marks Gargis (Tony) and Sandra Nesbitt (Robbie); brother, Ealon Marks; grandchild, Michelle Nesbitt Coburn (Ryan) and great-grandchild, Brodyn Coburn.

He was a Christian, wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved being with his granddaughter and great-grandson.

Serving as pallbearers will be the Over the Hill Gang.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Boilermaker’s Local 455.

We would like to thank the staff of ECM Hospital, Kindred Hospice and Mitchell Hollingsworth Rehab.
