Earl Rea James, age 64, of Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, March 17, 2018. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, March 20, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The Holy Rosary service will follow at 8:00 p.m. The Mass for Christian Burial will be Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church, with Father Michael Adams officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. James was a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6661. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Velma James, sister, Pamela Springer, and infant twin siblings.
Survivors include wife, Allison Denise James; son, Jason Earl James (Samantha); daughters, Chrisha Marie Sutton (Jason) and Jennifer Denise Royer (David); brothers, Ronald James and Danny James; sisters, Brenda Hocker, Linda Alexander, Betty Barnes, and Deborah James; grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew, and Nathan Sutton, Bryant and Hayden Royer, and Dominic and Jason Earl James Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
The Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers.
The family acknowledges with gratitude Kindred Hospice, Davita Dialysis of Sheffield, North Alabama Cancer Center, Shoals Kidney and Hypertension, and the many lives he’s touched.
