Mrs. Elizabeth Maxine (Williamson) Black, age 95, died Monday at her residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Driskell officiating, with burial in Athens City Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Limestone County. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rogersville and she was retired from TVA.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia Kilgore Reed, of Athens; grandsons, Tom Kilgore and wife, Gretta, of Athens, and Bart Kilgore, of Athens; and great-grandsons, Zach Kilgore, of Athens, and Chad Kilgore, of Athens. Pallbearers will be Chris Williamson, Brian Williamson, Jeremy Williamson, Matthew Williamson, Zack Kilgore, and Chad Kilgore. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Shaw, Gene Black, David Marks, and Ben Looney.
She was preceded in death by husband, Hawk Black.
