Larry White, 82, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully Sunday morning surrounded by his children. Larry was born in Townley, graduated from Huntsville High School in 1954, and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1963. Larry served in the US Army, loved Alabama football, NASCAR, motor sports, playing golf, fishing, music, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hurley White, and siblings, Neil White and Maurice White. Survivors include his children, Butch White (Pam) of Birmingham, Leslie White Meagher (Andy) of Huntsville, and Michelle White Cheek (Art) of Portland, OR; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his sister, Bobbie Estell of Huntsville.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 8, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel with Don Ankenbrandt officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
