Charlotte Lou Hawk Peebles, 75, of Sheffield, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018. Her visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday February 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Guy Cemetery.
Mrs. Peebles was a native of Tuscumbia and a member of Hook Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Peebles, Sr.; infant son, Dwain Peebles; parents, John Horace and Lois Mae Hawk; and brother, William H. Hawk.
She is survived by her son, Jim Peebles; daughter, Betsy Pennington (Mike); 4 grandchildren, Emily Salinas, Leighanne Sparks, Heather Pennington, and Amy Young; 9 great grandchildren, Jacob and Jared Young, Adahlia Wyatt, Isis and Bishop Carol, Gracie and Tristan Woods, Leah and Joshua Salinas; sister-in-law, Sheila Hawk; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
