Daisy Estelee Reed was born August 21, 1922 in Finger, TN, the daughter of the late Thomas Anderson and Sarah Margret Bell Barham. She was united in marriage to Malcom W. Reed on March 25, 1950. Mr. Reed preceded her in death on January 1, 2001. She taught school in the 1940’s and 50’s, in Good Hope, Sulphur Springs, Chewalla and Reed’s school houses. Daisy was a member of the Maggie Jones Methodist Church. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Daisy enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, sewing, and spending time with love ones.
Mrs. Reed departed this life on January 22, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 5 Months, 1 Day.
She is survived by her children: Charles Ancel Reed and wife Dorothy of Oakland, TN, Michael Barham Reed and wife Donna of Southaven, TN, Stephen Daniel Reed and wife Jeanne of Pocahontas, TN, Judy Reed Coffey and husband Kent of Starkville, MS; a sister, Emma Droke and husband Charles of Adamsville, TN; sister-in-law, Bernice Butler of Chewalla, TN; 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and4 Great Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by a sister, Tommye Lee Hysmith and a brother, Richard Ray Barham.
