James Emmett Marshall, age 90, Haleyville, AL. passed away Saturday January 20, 2018. He served in the United States Army, with Military Police Battalion, retired from McGriff Tire Co. and a member of the Baptist Church.
His visitation will be Monday January 22, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL., with the funeral on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel, with Chris Sherrill and John Stancil officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers, Wesley Marshall, Aaron Marshall, Jimmy Hood, Johnny Mills, Robert Mills and Bill McGinness.
James is survived by his children, Linda Hood, Shirley Sutherland and Tommy Marshall; sisters, Jean Robertson and Lucy and Bailey; brother, Bobby Dan Marshall; grandchildren, Wesley Marshall, Aaron Marshall, Michelle Tatum, Melinda McGinness, Johnny Mills, Jamie Mills and Kim Mobley; great grandchildren, Todd Hood, Zachary Tingle, Blake Tingle, Megan Craig, Mackenzie Seal, Zoe Tatum, Katylin Mobley, Robert Mobley, Roscoe Mobley, Tyler Mills, Bobby Mills and Mariah Wasilewski; great great grandchildren, Moxton Marshall, Sipsey Hood and Connor Self.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ventrice Marshall; wife, Bertha Jeanette Marshall; daughter, Diane Mills; grandson, Shawn Hood; great granddaughter, Sadie Atilee Marshall; sisters and brothers, Louise Stratton, Marvin Marshall, Betty Zondlo, George Marshall and Dot Hammon.
