Mary Katherine Durham Cornelison went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2017 at Home in Huntsville, Alabama.
She was born on June 29, 1923 in Erlanger Hospital, Chattanooga, Tennessee to Samuel Clinton Durham and Kate Blanset Durham.
She graduated from Central High School, Chattanooga, in 1942. She married Jack Coleman Cornelison on February 14, 1943. Katherine was a military wife and a mother who traveled across the United States, Japan, and Germany. She made a Home wherever they were. She was a financial secretary and property manager. She was formerly a member of First Baptist Church of Perrine, Florida, where she served ad the financial secretary, taught Sunday School, and sang in the choir for almost 20 years. She is a member of theFirst Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, US Army Major (Retired) Jack Coleman Cornelison.
She is survived by her daughters Mary Ann Cornelison Brinkman (Daryl) of Huntsville, Pamela Cornelison Dion (Edward) Ft. Lauderdale, Fl; son Jack Michael Cornelison (Pam) of Fairburn, Ga; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was smart, feisty, loved, and adored by her family and all who knew her well.
