Funeral for Betty Carol Elkins, 75, of Decatur will be Friday, November 24, 2017, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks, Rev. Ted Amey, Rev. Zeke Haselden, and Rev. Amy Howard officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Elkins, who died, November 20, 2017, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center , was born, October 24, 1942, to Julius Claude Saxon and Mamie Darnell Saxon. She was a member of The Church at Stone River and retired from Lawrence County DHR. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Son – Doug (Sonja) Elkins
Daughter – Cindy (Kris) Higgins
4 Grand Children – Bryan Craig, Sarah Higgins, Steven Elkins and Brayden Elkins
Pallbearers will be Mike Terry, Dannie Cutts, Harold Thompson, Don Sims, Jim Martin and Gary Glass.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, William Vantrease, Willard Boyett, Kenneth Owens and men of her Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the charity of your choice.
